    The Draš sport center has two big sports halls. The bigger hall offers surface of three volleyball courts or one big handball court. Second hall offers the size of two volleyball courts.

Visa requirements

In attached document you will find the list of countries that need visa for entering the Republic of Slovenia. All Visa arrangements will be made by us based on your application form.

Hospitality

When booking through the official site of the Championships you will benefit of a dedicated support staff, shuttle from/ to the sports venue, transfers from/ to Graz, Ljubljana, Zagreb and Vienna airport, visa and customs assistance.

Language

The official language of Slovenia is Slovenian. Most of the population in Maribor speak good English and good German. Majority of population also speak ex Yugoslavia languages fluently.

People are very friendly and will assist you in your needs without any problems.

Mains Power

The voltage in Slovenia is 220-230 V, 50 Hz, like in the rest of Europe.

Currency

The official curency of Slovenia is EURO. You have a loto of excange offices where you can exchange most of the world currencies.

Credit Cards

All major credit cards, such as American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard/ Master Card, Visa, are usually accepted in Slovenia and their logos displayed in points of sale.

Alcohol Law and tobacco law

The legal drinking age in Slovenia is 18 years.

Smoking is not allowed indoors, so smoking in pubs, restaurants and clubs is not allowed.

Telephone and WIFI

To call Maribor from abroad, dial the international code for Slovenia +386, the Maribor area code 2 and then the desired telephone number.

GSM mobile networks are available. Best coverage is LTE Telekom, but others do roaming on that network too.

Please check compatibility with your operator, but have in mind that non European countries are considered as 3. world countries and expences for roaming can be quite high.We advise using public WIFI. City of Maribor is well covered with signal.

Medical Services 

No vaccination or other medical certificates are required to enter Slovenia. Health insurance is not mandatory. Most pharmacies are open 7 – 20 but there is one open 24/7. In case of illness or injury dial 112 free of charge to call an ambulance.
